Growing up in Michigan, the Vehicle City, I was surrounded by automotive culture from an early age. Working on cars wasn’t something I was taught in a classroom — it was something I felt in my bones. That hands-on curiosity never left me, and it became the foundation of everything I do today. After relocating to Naples, Florida, I found myself frustrated with the restoration industry. The shops that could deliver the quality I demanded were out of reach, and the ones I could afford simply didn’t meet my standards. So I did what any true gearhead would do — I did it myself. What started as a personal hobby quickly turned heads around Southwest Florida, and before long, clients were knocking on my door asking me to do for their cars what I had done for my own. That was over ten years ago, and Avid Street Machines was born. Today, we offer complete frame-off restorations — from teardown to rebuild — including metal fabrication, custom paint, engine and transmission rebuilds, full chassis and suspension work, and the seamless integration of modern amenities that bring classic cars into the 21st century.
